Basic Questions - Defining Social Needs:

WHAT: Introduction and Identifying Key Discussion Points - Guide interviewees to think from the following two perspectives:

  • Mainstream Social Platforms:
    • What are the social media apps you primarily use, and how often?
    • Among these apps, which features do you use the most, and why?
  • Niche Social Platforms:
    • Have you or your friends used any unique but lesser-known social apps?
    • What makes them unique?

WHO: Identifying Target Audience:

  • Your friends on social media mainly include?
    • Family
    • Classmates
    • Colleagues
    • Friends of friends
    • Neighbors or people from school
    • Strangers
  • Who in society do you think deserves attention but lacks social opportunities or means?
    • General population: Which types of people?
    • Niche groups: Farmers, disabled individuals, LGBTQ+, homeless individuals, wealthy individuals, etc.
    • Social obstacles: Depression, social anxiety, trauma

WHY Identifying Social Motives:

  • The main reasons or purposes for using social media are:

    • Because friends use it, trying it out
