Critiques on My Peers’ Apps and/or Pitches (Part 2)

Cre8tors

I think this project has a lot of potential, but I am not fully convinced that users will prefer this app over others in its similar area. Graphs have a lot of interesting properties, so writing ideas onto cards and organizing the cards into a graph leaves a lot of room for unique functionality. It is common for people to write their ideas (or suggestions from ChatGPT) down on a document, and then if they need to, create a graph using the vast amount of applications available. I believe taking advantage of the versatility of graphs can make the app stand out.

Using properties of graphs can add a lot of really interesting features users have likely not encountered in other applications. Being able to specify whether cards are connected uni- or bi-directionally and identify cycles or find colorings may allow the user to get a more unique perspective on their ideas than they normally would. Graphs also have interesting nesting properties. If a team is working on a large project, perhaps they can create a graph for each individual idea they have, and then create another graph that connects those ideas in a single graph. Applying this nesting property would let the user modularize their ideas, and make them more easily integrable with others’ ideas. The nesting property might also synchronize nicely with access control, with the owner being able to restrict other users to only view a particular part of a graph, e.g. by specifying a parent node that cannot be surpassed, or a child node that cannot be expanded into its children. I think having such features would incentivize users to use Cre8tors to organize their ideas in a graphical representation.

I recall that the team mentioned that generative AI could be used to provide suggestions for ideas. I think allowing AI to provide insight on the structuring of ideas would be very helpful for the user as well. Maybe the user has many ideas but does not know how to connect them. Perhaps it can ask the AI for an example of how it would connect the ideas, which might propel the user forward if they were stuck.

These are simply some thoughts I had, which may or may not fit under the project’s scope and the team’s ideas. I hope they are helpful to your team.
