My impressions on some of my peers' apps
Debate Online
I liked the idea, but I think some of the restrictions (like anonymity) restrain the users' experience. I know the goal is to prevent people from holding themselves back out of fear of attacks, but are the people who seek good debate platforms really the ones who can't debate? Also, when I'm debating, knowing what's the other person's expertise really matters to me and affects how I take their arguments.
Restaurant Reform
Great idea! I have a feature suggestion that maybe could enhance the app's functionality: what if, to measure the effectiveness, you considered how the restaurants' profit changed?
Closet Share
I understand the thought process behind it, and it would be great if everyone shared a single closet, but I wonder how many people would effectively join the app. Me, personally, when I lend someone my clothes, I'm always scared of it being returned damaged, smaller, or something of the kind. Isabella also raised an important point about the washing of the clothes. Furthermore, how would the logistics be? Would all the clothes be held in a single place? Are people willing to store their clothes somewhere else, far from their houses? And, if people keep their wardrobes close, is it safe to let people you don't know that well go to your house constantly to borrow clothes? Just some things I thought about.
Sharefolio
This is such a good idea! I think everyone has thought about it at some point — "what if I just copied everything that the best traders do, but in a smaller scale"? And yes, it's indeed hard to keep track of everything, so, if this was somehow automated, it would be great.
However, I thought about two things: what's the social impact? And, although you talked about this during the presentation, I'm not convinced that big traders would find incentives to share their portfolios. I can't claim anything though. I would like to see this app in real life.
